Johanna is a versatile, passionate performer who draws her influences from jazz, rhythm and blues, Broadway, folk rock and gospel.
From originals to covers, her unique style and original sound invites you into another world.
Johanna draws inspiration from singers such as Joni Mitchell,Laura Nyro, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few. She performs solo with piano or acapella, as well as with various sized combos
Johanna has sung throughout the East and West Coast of the US and in Europe. She trained at Berklee College of music and with Boston Conservatory’s finest voice coaches. She has been blessed to sing with some of the finest musicians in the business. Now living in the Portsmouth area, she can be heard in many local venues. Also classically trained, she has sung in hundreds of churches for public and private occasions, both happy and sad , and feels honored to enhance the experience of those in attendance.
